Description: The purpose of this dataset is to delineate parcels known or believed to be served by potable water utilities providing public water supply about July 2019. This dataset supports the population estimates by water supply service area in the 2023 Water Supply Assessment. These distribution areas are comprised of merged parcel boundaries. The 2019 update was primarily based off of the FDOH Water Management Inventory dataset (http://www.floridahealth.gov/environmental-health/drinking-water/flwmi/index.html) to determine known, likely, or somewhat likely public supply served parcels. Previously known service area boundaries from utility provided maps were also used to determine service area boundaries.The 2021 update used all previous data adding parcels with residential units built after the last Water Management Inventory dataset was published (2016) and before 2020 though excluding such parcels with or in close proximity to domestic wells. As available, data supplied from utilities was referenced.
