These boundaries are based on the hydrologic unit code (watershed boundary) defined by the USGS. These are; 1) Perdido-Escambia River Basin Area, Region I, 2) Blackwater-Yellow River Basin-Choctawhatchee-Pensacola Bay Coastal Area, Region II, 3) Choctawhatchee River Basin-St. Andrew Bay Coastal Area, Region III, 4) Apalachicola-Chipola-Lower Chattahoochee River Basin Area, Region IV, and 5) Ochlockonee-St. Marks-Wakulla River Basin Area.
